I just wanted to thank you for the amazing photos you took of my family. It is not often that I have pictures of myself that I like (I guess everyone feels that way) but there are so many of the whole family that are spectacular and I can’t wait to have them framed. Your technique is so great for getting casual “real” shots.
My family all agree that it was one of the highlights of our vacation and something that was long overdue. We have wonderful memories for a lifetime.

I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED the photos! I was a little nervous that the wind, sun and an unruly five year old would be a challenge, but your mastery accomplished miracles! I am thrilled to have such wonderful photos to commemorate a trip that was very special to us. This was a first having photos with my parents and they turned out so good – better than good, great! My problem now is trying to decide which to have printed and enlarged.
Thank you for your time and patience and using your gift to capture our memories.
You are an amazing photographer and as we plan to visit Kauai at least every other year, will call you every time

Well we are back home in Oz and have finally had a chance to look at our Photos that you took for us.
They are fantastic! You got so many, and so many are good. We are having difficulty in choosing which ones to frame.
It was all so easy and relaxed and you captured our day perfectly.

Sorry that I didn’t reply – I started to send you an email one day but something came up right in the middle (can’t remember) and I never got back to the email.
We’re super happy with all of the photos. I saw that you recommended against black (clearly noticed that a little late, lol) but I love the way that they turned out. Hopefully we didn’t give you a heart attack when we showed up wearing black. I think that the photo shoot was the best thing that we did while we were on Kauai. You captured the best of everyone. As things have settled, I have come to love one of the “jumping” shots (not like we were jumping or anything) but we look like we are having so much fun. It really captured the moment.
Erin was also very pleased with her “senior” pictures. The final decision was based upon how her hair looked, and you managed to have one that she just loves.
Lauren and Erin (blond & senior) noticed that in some of Erin’s photo’s you can’t see her top so they call those the naked shots, lol. My kids crack me up. I would have never noticed it, but it’s really funny when you look at them that way.
I’m always happy to post positive feedback on tripadvisor. Otherwise it is such a crapshoot. I really appreciate reading personal feedback from real people.
We’ll be back in your neck of the woods in December. (I was calculating how many Hawaiiairlines miles we were earning on our flight home) so Art and I canceled a Mexican cruise and rebooked a flight to Lihue instead. We can hardly wait. Only 93 days, not that we’re counting or anything…

Dear Nick, I will start with a huge Thank You, but that does not begin to tell you how grateful and happy we are with the Anniversary pictures you took March 2008, they are so wonderful. I feel blessed to have found you, and that you were available. I apologize for not getting to Thank You sooner. Two days after we came home from Kauai, my Dad had a heart attack, then surgery and is now recovering. Needless to say we had some difficult times, when I finally got to these pictures I burst into tears at the beauty and life you captured in Art and I. Actually I am teary now; we have had a lesson of how life can change so quickly, preserving times with photos is so important especially when you find a great photographer to capture it. My youngest son just got engaged three weeks ago, any chance you will be in Seattle in December? I wish you and your family the best, Thank you bless you. Coleen & Art Solbakken
Nick’s work exceeded our expectations! I thought his online gallery was great when we booked our session but I can’t say I wasn’t a little nervous about how our photos would turn out…we had a large extended family group with 4 of the 6 kids under 5 years old. We have literally hundreds of amazing photos…posed and candid. Nick’s work is FABULOUS!!! Nick was very patient and kind and open to our ideas too. All in all, a wonderful experience and photos we will cherish forever.
